Skidrow is a multiplayer map, released at launch for Call of Duty MWIII.
My role was to provide environment art direction, working with the team to develop the various looks, compositions and themes across the map.
A remake of the original 2009 MW2 map, we wanted to bring the visuals in line with today's standards as well as make the spaces feel more realistic and grounded. A big part of this was placing the setting firmly in New York City.
The team did an amazing job of selling the narrative for the map and contextualising some awkwardly connected interior spaces from the original.
Massive shout-out to everyone from all departments who were involved in making this map.
Special shout-out to the incredibly talented, Melbourne, multiplayer environment art team.
The core environment team consisted of Hamish Ames, Andrew Gebert, Okan Beyit, Laurence Hester, Elkanah Hoch, Donald Madsen, Michael Robertson, Samuel De Vos and Pod lead, Lukas Stratmann.
